"Day after day, I watched them, their movements repeated, their expressions blurred, as if nothing ever changed. The fire began as a faint flicker, quietly weaving through the corners, as if unwilling to disturb their world. But I knew, eventually, the flames would find their way.
When the light reflected in their eyes, I thought that moment might bring every thing to a halt. But no—it was a fleeting glance, as if the fire was merely a passing gleam. Their choice remained in the silent entanglement. Desire never brought them clarity; instead, it blinded them to the fire’s dance, even as the heat crept closer.
I wasn’t part of this, the flames were inevitable, like time, relentless and inescapable. They continued, as if they were dancing with some unseen force in the glow, and I simply watched. In the end, not even the flames could break their rhythm. They chose to burn in that final embrace."
And I just observed it all—how life begins and how it ends.”
